Position Overview

Walmart is hiring Sporting Goods Associates to manage merchandise presentation and provide customer assistance in the Sporting Goods department at Supercenter locations. You will help customers select camping gear, fitness equipment, outdoor recreation products, and sporting supplies while maintaining department organization, locked case security, and compliance with all firearm and ammunition sales regulations where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers selecting sporting goods including camping equipment, fitness gear, bicycles, fishing tackle, and outdoor recreation products.
• Process firearm and ammunition sales following all ATF, federal, state, and local compliance requirements where applicable to your location.
• Maintain locked display cases for high-value sporting goods items ensuring security and proper inventory accountability.
• Stock shelves and set seasonal sporting goods displays including camping season, hunting season, and back-to-school fitness.
• Assemble display bicycles, fitness equipment, and outdoor furniture following manufacturer instructions and Walmart assembly standards.

Qualifications & Benefits

Must be 18+ years of age (21+ for firearm and ammunition sales in applicable states). No prior sporting goods or retail experience required.
